Last week, some of us decided to go to Nandi betta early up in the morning... the ride was the best... with amazingly smooth roads all through, minus the irritating speed breaking road-bumps which suddenly pop up from nowhere when we're riding really fast... it was awesome all through... i love on top out there, and sit watching in silence everything thats around... while on our way to the hill, i saw some cyclists on the highway, and decided i need to do this someday soon... been waiting to do it... but everytime, things never materialized... too bad huh.. anyways, now that i've got my cycle repaired, i think i'll go on this lil expedition soon... :D

Awesome quote..

ha ha ha.. love this quote!!

"I am fond of pigs. Dogs look up to us. Cats look down. Pigs treat us as equals" - Bertrand Russell

Little Manhattan...

All it takes is a few moments of silence, an incredibly sweet love song, and a few memories... and then a tear rolls down, leading to another... and jus as i say all this, i know deep inside, there's me, thinking about all the good times, all my childishness, all those lil things that i did, jus to say, how much i loved her... its a lil crazy isnt it, the way we go about our lives... and now, when you sit back n think about it all, there's the faint smile soon to be followed by another tear rolling down.... damn! i wanted it all! i wanted her!!

Sometimes lil things pile onto your head so much over the years that, you jus cant imagine to carry it any further. guess thats what is happening to me... no reasons, no occasion, its jus my mind, that probably decided to let it out.... and now, as all those things flash across my mind now, i stare into this glaring screen... i know, i've seen myself be trampled by love, and on all those occasions... i could only sit n wonder, if i actually let myself or i jus was.

Some quotes from a very cute movie "Little Manhattan" -

"Love is an ugly, terrible business practiced by fools. It'll trample your heart and leave you bleeding on the floor. And what does it really get you in the end? Nothing but a few incredible memories that you can't ever shake. The truth is, there's gonna be other girls out there. I mean, I hope. But I'm never gonna get another first love. That one is always gonna be her."

"Love isn't about ridiculous little words. Love is about grand gestures. Love is about airplanes pulling banners over stadiums, proposals on jumbo-trons, giant words in sky writing. Love is about going that extra mile even if it hurts, letting it all hang out there. Love is about finding courage inside of you that you didn't even know was there."

"Somewhere a million miles away, the girl I once loved was going down her road, and I was stuck back on mine"

And yes, the movie really let the tears roll down my cheek.

Somaari Katte... ;)

There was this sudden penchant to drink coffee at a different place than our regular old Coffee Board or the Tea Board at IISc... Me n Raghu looked for opportunities, and as Raghu puts it, we tried to be "creative"... ha ha ha... so we thought of the corner we had never been to, atleast not to drink coffee o tea... IISc's "Janata Bazaar"... a nice lil corner near the staff quarters and a very nice Somaari Katte there for us somaaris to sit n sip coffee while chatting away to glory... he he he... I liked the place a lot.. not much crowd, no one to bother or disturb... just us...

The fast rising traffic... :( is killing my beautiful city

looking at the bangalore traffic recently i just wondered, how much of the road-space is occupied by one guy who is sitting inside this big sedan of his, which, i feel is a prime cause of so much traffic... and to add to this, there are plenty more on the road... a huge car and jus one guy inside... i jus mentioned this to one of my friend who owns a car himself and he revolted back saying "shouldnt people have personal desires? should they stop buying cars? and should they ferry every tom, dick n harry in his car because of this?"... i was dumbfounded by the reply i got, cause he didnot see what i was trying to point out at, instead he took it personally, cause he drives around his car alone too. unless people feel the need from within themselves to do their bit to the enrivonment, nothing will change. people complain about the rising traffic in the city, and continue to complain, but no one, absolutely no one takes the responsibility of the fact that they are too adding to all this every day. when asked why, they give all possible reasons but in spite of all this, they do not budge from throwing mud at other commuters on the road. the sad part i feel is that "WE" have not encouraged the government to cultivate the habit of travelling in public transports nor has the government encouraged us to do so with efficient and friendly public transport systems. i dont think the government needs to spend huge amounts to build metros or any such thing to help reduce the traffic problems here in Bangalore. all they need to do is provide us with proper road transport, spend on the proper maintainance of buses, buy better newer buses, and encourage the companies to ask its employees to use the public systems for travel between work and home. but all this only seems like a fantasy, cause im sure people will have all sorts of reasons and hit back at me for this "ideal" looking solution. I used to love my city, not that i dont now, but looking at the way people are bringing it down, and that too so rapidly, i rather move out of this place, which once was my heaven!
