Recently during one of our project meetings with my prof, I learnt a big lesson of life. We were supposed to show some results and discuss the status of our project that afternoon and in spite of all the work we (me n my team-mate) had done, we didnt have a result to show up. We couldnt show results, but we tried to defend ourselves that we had worked for it. Pat came a reply from the prof, which changed I started to think about life. She said, "There's either a Yes or a No. Tell me whether you have got any results or you have not. What ever is in between is immaterial, as people will not bother how hard you've tried or if you havent. Its the result that matters; the hard-work is recognized only then...."
There was some more gyan though, but what she initially said was so perfectly said that I realized how I had to alter my thinking. This also reminded me of a dialogue Sean Connery says in The Rock to Nicholas Cage who says he'll do his best - "Your 'best'? Losers always whine about their best. Winners go home and f**k the prom queen."
It doesnt really matter whether you've tried or how hard you've tried... all that matters is, have you got it or have you not! No matter what it is, the world goes by the binary digit rule. Its either "1" or its "0". There's nothing in between!!!

this is the reality in life..when you hve to show someone your worth...but wat happens to the more sensitive issues in life? your could crash a lot o hearts with this point-blank manner you know...no offence though..
Nicely put Vishal!!
My dad use to see my report card wen I was in school. If I try to give excuse for my bad result, he would straightaway stop me because watever the excuse was, my marks are not going to change and he don't want to listen to it. Being a good student is not just about being brainy or talented and reading a lot. It's also about managing not to get sick during the exam. In fact he says that there should be nothing like the word "Excuse".
But contrary to this, I would like u to see a blog here http://rojinathoudam.blogspot.com/2008/03/hi-im-new-to-this-blog-thing.html
